The demand to complete academic tasks and achieve set targets requires students to have self-regulated learning (SRL) abilities. SRL abilities will assist students in planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating their learning process, thereby supporting their academic performance. Need for achievement (n-Ach) is an individual's inner drive that can motivate them to strive for excellence in order to fulfill their need for achievement. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the need for achievement on the ability of self-regulated learning among the 10th-grade Tahfidz Science class students at MAN 1 Jember. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a survey research method. This study uses the EPPS test to measure the need for achievement (n-Ach) and a questionnaire to measure the self-regulated learning abilities given to 25 10th-grade Tahfidz Science class students at MAN 1 Jember. The sampling technique used in this study is non-probability sampling using saturation sampling. The results of this study conclude that there is no significant influence of the need for achievement on self-regulated learning abilities with a coefficient of determination of 0.032. This means that the need for achievement does not have a significant impact on self-regulated learning abilities, only 3.2%, while 96.8% is influenced by other factors.
